ShurLok Trouble Shooting Guide - Page 3
(updated 2.28.2007)
Please read these steps completely and follow any that apply
before proceeding to the next page of our guide. We have
found that sometimes numbers are transposed, such as 8's and
3's, since they can appear similar on the dial.
1. Set the dials to the combination you intended to use to open the shackle.
2. If you have a 3 in your combination, try replacing it with an 8
and test the shackle. If you have multiple 3's in your combination check each one individually.
If the test fails turn the dials back to their original value.
3. If you have an 8 in your combination, try replacing it with a 3 and test the shackle again.
If the test fails turn the dials back to their original value.
4. If you have a 7 in your combination, try replacing it with a 2 and test the shackle again.
If the test fails turn the dials back to their original value.
5. If you have a 2 in your combination, try replacing it with a 7 and test the shackle again.
If the test fails turn the dials back to their original value.
You have now tried the most likely combinations. If the shackle of your ShurLok
is still not opening, or closing completely click here to view the next page in our Guide.
